Local Gym Under Investigation Following Shocking Allegations...

A local Camillus business is currently under investigation following serious allegations involving its longest-running program.

Elite Personal Fitness has offered its Personal Group Fitness program since 2015. What started as a small group of people who wanted to get stronger has grown into one of the most loyal training communities in Central New York.

Now the gym is under investigation. Officials are looking into how one program could keep the same people coming back for over a decade. Records show more than 42 members have completed over 1,000 classes each, and some have passed 2,600. Investigators are also looking into reports of members having too much fun, getting too many results, and actually looking forward to their workouts.

Evidence collected so far includes:

• A brand new program every four weeks, so workouts never get stale and progress never stalls
• A dedicated coach who builds each plan around the member's goals, needs, and limitations
• Small groups where the coach knows every name and every goal
• A culture where everyone is there to get better and nobody judges

Sources close to the case say this is not a first offense. Elite Personal Fitness was also voted Best Gym in Syracuse in both 2024 and 2025.

When we reached out for comment, owner John Mossotti said, "The investigation is ongoing, so I can't say much. But I stand by every allegation. We've been doing this for over a decade, and we're not stopping now."

Owner John Mossotti also stated, "Anyone is welcome to come and see if these allegations are true; we have a Jumpstart Program for only $129 to see if we are lying"
